About Dave Elchoness
Dave Elchoness developed his style of law practice during his time with private national law firms, in-house with a Fortune 200 company, and as a corporate executive. Soon after graduating from law school, Dave realized that the practice of labor and employment law was unique. Unlike other areas, legal issues in the workplace -- involving employers and employees -- are taken extremely personally. Dave adopted a style favoring a hands-on, interpersonal approach that would empower the employer and maximize the likelihood that employees would feel respected and supported in the workplace.

Later, as an in-house attorney, Dave recognized the extraordinary value that an attorney can offer as a trusted business advisor. Dave found that to be effective, employment lawyers must be on the front lines and closely connected to their clients. He further realized that rarely do situations that are handled strategically and sensitively at the outset become adversarial. Human resources professionals who have a willing sounding board with employment law experience are more confident and successful. Employees whose concerns are managed appropriately tend not to sue, even if the result is different than what they hoped.

Based on his highly effective legal counsel, Dave's employer asked him to move into an executive role in Information Technologies. Although a new area for him, IT gave Dave the opportunity to put his employment law training to work in a challenging global environment and as a manager of large teams.

Dave founded Elchoness Law Firm, LLC to help clients better manage their workforces, empower business leaders, and provide an exceptional level of service.

When he is not with clients, Dave enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons, two dogs, and two cats. He enjoys improv and stand-up comedy and has tried his hand at both.
